This is the last of four consecutive weeks that Hebrews has provided the second reading. (7-13). Hebrews 1:8.The nominative ὠθεÏÏ is taken by our author in the sense of the vocative (comp. "There are three periods: (1) that of the promise; (2) that of the pedagogical instruction; (3) that of fulfilment" [BENGEL].
